Privacy Policy

This policy explains how TLC Ready (“the App”) handles information. TLC Ready is an independent exam-preparation app developed by Eddy Castro. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) or the City of New York.

1. Information stored on your device

The App does not require an account. Study progress, answers, mock-exam history, bookmarks, and app preferences are stored locally on your device. The App’s study content is bundled with the App. We do not operate a server that receives this study data. Removing the App may remove locally stored data.

2. Purchases and RevenueCat

If you use the optional lifetime Pro purchase, Apple processes the transaction through your Apple Account. The App integrates RevenueCat to validate purchases, keep Pro access in sync, and restore purchases. RevenueCat may process an anonymous, app-specific identifier, product and transaction information, purchase or restore events, and technical information needed to provide and secure its service. We do not receive your full payment-card details. See RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy and Apple’s Privacy Policy.

3. Analytics, advertising, and location

TLC Ready does not include advertising, ad tracking, or third-party analytics products. It does not request your precise location, contacts, photos, or health information. RevenueCat’s purchase SDK may process technical and purchase-related events as described above.

4. Sharing and retention

We do not sell personal information. Study records remain on your device under your control. Purchase-related information is handled by Apple and RevenueCat under their respective policies and retention practices.

5. Children

The App is intended for people preparing for driver licensing requirements and is not designed to collect personal information from children.

6. Your choices and requests

You can remove locally stored study data by deleting the App. Apple manages billing, refunds, and purchase history through your Apple Account. For privacy questions or requests concerning information handled by us, contact tlcready@eddycastro.com.
